Butternut Squash With Apples

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp mace
  • cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Cut squash in half then remove seeds and fibers and pare then cut in 1/2 slices.
  2. Pare and core apples then cut in 1/2 slices.
  3. Combine melted butter, sugar, flour, salt and mace.
  4. Layer 1/2 of the squash in bottom of liner which has been well sprayed.
  5. Top with 1/2 of the apple slices and 1/2 of the sugar mixture then repeat layers.
  6. Place in base then cover and cook on low for 7 hours or on high for 3-1/2 hours.
