  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix together sugar, butter, and buttermilk and bring to a boil. Boil for 45 seconds and remove from heat.
  2. Stir in baking soda and vanilla.
  3. Serve over pancakes or waffles.
  4. Bottle and store in the refrigerator. Serve warm.
  5. (When I made it I found that it separated into layers in the refrigerator. Just wait till it has cooled most of the way and shake the bottle).
