Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except buttermilk.
  2. Chill for several hours.
  3. Beat again until smooth.
  4. Add buttermilk and beat again.
  5. Stir freeze in an ice cream maker according to your manufacturer's directions.
  6. Variations:.
  7. Plum: one of my favorites! puree the fruit with the skins on. this adds flavor and color. add one of the following: 1 teaspoon minced ginger, 2 tablespoons dark rum.
  8. Peach: peel before pureeing. add one of the following: 1 teaspoon minced ginger, 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
  9. Blueberry: add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  10. You get the idea. be creative! make up your own combos!
