Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Mix shortening, salt, sugar, and vanilla. Add beaten eggs and mix together.
  3. Add flour and baking powder. Put teaspoons of batter on greased cookie sheet.
  4. Let stand for a few minutes and then flatten with a glass covered with a dampened cloth. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
