Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 3 cups kellogg's all-bran cereal
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Pour boiling water over the bran cereal.
  2. Stir together flour, soda and salt.
  3. Cream sugar, crisco and honey.
  4. Add eggs one at a time.
  5. Add vanilla, cinnamon (nutmeg or any other spices).
  6. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk.
  7. Add the bran cereal.
  8. Bake in muffin tins at 400 degrees fro 15 to 20 minutes.
