Ingredients:

  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp clove, ground
  • 1/8 tsp rubbed sage

Directions:

  1. In dutch oven brown meat in butter. Mix wine, water, salt, pepper, clove & sage together, add onions & simmer 1 hour longer. If additional liquid is needed, add more wine & water.
