Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 4 tbsp margarine

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Open both cans of yams and pour out about 1/2 juice from each can.
  3. Pour 1 1/4 cup brown sugar over yams.
  4. Mix 2 tablespoons flour with hot water until melted. Typically makes 1/4-1/2 cup liquid. Pour over yams.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of Vanilla flavoring to the yams.
  6. Spread 4 tablespoons margarine over yams evenly.
  7. Bake yams uncovered for approximately 30-45 minutes. If syrup mixture is not thick enough, continue to bake until desired consistency.
