Blond Brownies A La Mode

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare 9 x 13-inch baking pan by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, using electric mixer, cream softened butter and brown sugar.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Beat in vanilla.
  6. In small mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture in large mixing bowl.
  8. By hand, stir in chopped pecans.
  9. Spread evenly in prepared pan.
  10. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  11. Remove from oven and cool slightly while making maple cream sauce.
  12. FOR SAUCE:
  13. Combine maple syrup and butter in medium saucepan.
  14. Bring to a boil.
  15. Cook and stir while continuing to boil for three minutes.
  16. Remove from heat.
  17. Stir in evaporated milk.
  18. Cut brownies into squares.
  19. Place on dessert plates and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  20. Drizzle maple cream sauce over top of ice cream and brownies.
  21. Sprinkle with additional chopped pecans if desired!
