Best Ever Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup crisco oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1-1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1-1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. In mixing bowl, mix sugar and flour
  2. Bring margarine, cocoa, oil and water to boil in saucepan
  3. Pour over flour mixture, mix well
  4. Beat in eggs
  5. Add buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla
  6. Mix well
  7. Spoon into a greased and floured 12 X 17 baking pan
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes
  9. ICING
  10. Bring milk, margarine, cocoa to boil in saucepan
  11. Add sugar, vanilla, pecans
  12. Mix well
  13. Beat until creamy
  14. Spread on warm cake
