Ingredients:

  • 1 pint raw oysters (15167), reserving 1/4 cup oyster broth
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp lowfat milk
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Butter shallow baking dish.
  2. Combine bread crumbs and cracker crumbs. Stir in melted butter.
  3. Place thin layer of crumbs in bottom of dish. Layer oysters over crumbs and spinkle with salt and pepper. Pour 2 tablespoons broth and 1 tablespoon milk over top.
  4. Repeat layer, ending with a covering of crumbs.
  5. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes.
