Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Boil potatoes and apple in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes; drain.
  2. Return potatoes to pot over medium heat to dry, 1 minute.
  3. Remove pot from heat; add in half and half and butter.
  4. Mash mixture with a potato masher, then season with salt, white pepper, and nutmeg, to taste.
  5. Serve potatoes immediately or cover and keep warm.
