Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 7/8 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Place apples in a greased baking dish. Add cinnamon, water and 1/2 cup sugar.
  2. Mix the remainder of sugar with shortening and flour until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle crumbs over apples and bake in moderate oven 350 for about 1 hour.
