Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups golden raisins

Directions:

  1. Beat together oil, eggs, and sugar thoroughly. Add vanilla.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together three times. Add to oil and sugar mixture.
  3. Add apples, raisins, and nuts.
  4. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1-1/2 hours or until cake tests done at 325.
