Ingredients:

  • 1 quart milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Directions:

  1. Bring just to a boil milk and crushed anise seed.
  2. Stir in sugar and simmer on low heat about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine cornstarch and water.
  4. Stir into milk mixture and simmer an additional 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Strain and serve immediately.
