Amish Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 (1 lb) can pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar, oil and eggs together.
  2. Add pumpkin.
  3. Then add dry ingredients and finally water.
  4. Stir just until mixed.
  5. Add nuts if desired.
  6. Pour into 2 greased and floured (or 4 mini loaf) pans.
  7. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
