Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. For cookies:.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Beat in the flour, extract and salt.
  4. Stir in the pecans.
  5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Make thumbprint in each cookie.
  7. Bake at 300°F for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Let cool.
  9. For Icing:.
  10. Mix all Icing ingredients and thin with a little milk if needed , to make a smooth icing . You may add a drop or two of food color to tint the icing . Fill cooled cookies with icing.
