Almond Rice Oat Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 2 tbsp brown rice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2-1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cover almonds, rice and oats with water by at least 1-2 inches.
  2. Soak for 6 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain and rinse.
  4. Fill soy milk maker to top fill line.
  5. Add rinsed almond mixture to pot.
  6. Attach lid and select soymilk option.
  7. When the soy milk machine has completed the cycle, strain milk through a fine mesh strainer.
  8. At this point I let the milk cool, then add to the blender( I use a Vitamix).
  9. Add brown sugar, vanilla and salt to blender and process.
  10. The Delectable Planet website says this will kep for a week in the fridge.
