Allspice Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 2 (15 oz) cans sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup brown sugar , firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup butter (1 cube )
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 (16 oz) bag marshmallows (large or small)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray casserole dish with non stick oil.
  3. Drain juices off of potatoes (set aside 1 cup juice for later).
  4. Put potatoes in casserole dish.
  5. Mix your sugar and allspice together in bowl.
  6. Sprinkle blended mix of sugar and allspice over potatoes.
  7. Pour remaining 1 cup juice over potatoes.
  8. Now cut the cube of butter into patties and lay on top of potatoes (all around edges and center).
  9. Cook on 350°F for about 30-35 minutes.
  10. Now place marshmallows all over the top of potatoes.
  11. Brown the tops of marshmallows to a lite golden brown.
  12. Note: Watch your marshmallows carefully they brown fast.
