Ingredients:

  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/3 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 granny smith apples (apples, peel, core , thin)
  • 1/4 cup butter (cut squares)

Directions:

  1. Mash yams with 1/4 c butter - salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 1/4 cup butter with nutmeg and honey.
  3. Pour into bottom of casserole and layer with apples.
  4. Add mashed yams and top with cinnamon and 1/4 cup butter squares.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbling.
