Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350F degrees.
  2. Grease and flour 9x13 pan.
  3. Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
  4. Beat in shortening.
  5. Add milk and vanilla.
  6. Beat for 2 minutes.
  7. Beat in egg whites, beat until very smooth.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes, or until done.
