Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix the squash and egg and add the pepper, cinnamon and sugar to this.
  2. Combine flour, corn meal, baking powderand salt, mixing well.
  3. Add the egg mixture to this.
  4. Drop by small teaspoonfuls in hot oil, turning once. (They won't take long at all.)
  5. Drain on paper towels. I sometimes sprinkle them with powdered sugar, but they don't really need it.
