Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Unwrap carames, set aside.
  3. Combine cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in bowl; mix well. Lightly press half the mixture into a 9 X 13 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.
  4. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in saucepan, stirring frequently.
  5. Sprinkle half the pecans over baked layer. Top with caramel mixture then all of the chocolate chips. Scatter remaining dough in small amounts on top of caramel. (you will have some open spots showing caramel and chips).
  6. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  8. Cool, cut bars while slightly warm.
