Ingredients:

  • 1 2/3 cup of sugar superfine if you can find it
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teasp. vanilla

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and cream in a heavy pot. cook over med heat stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves
  2. Add butter
  3. Turn heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally until it reaches 260' on the candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and the nuts
  5. Stir for 2 mins.
  6. Pour into a greased 8 x8 pan.
  7. When almost set, mark into squares with a knife.
  8. When cold cut or break
  9. Makes 1 1/3 LB
