To Die for Spaghetti and Meatballs-Moms Go to Weeknight Dinner!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil
  • 1/4 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 (32 oz) jar rao's marinara sauce (pricey but tasty!!!)

Directions:

  1. Preheat over to 350.
  2. In large bowl, mix egg, basil, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic and water.
  3. Add meat, breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese and mix until just combined (get your hands dirty it tastes better hand made! ).
  4. Take 2 tbs meat mixture and roll into balls and place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Flip and cook another 10 minutes.
  6. While the meatballs are cooking, bring marinara sauce to simmer (add a pinch of sugar, garlic & black pepper!).
  7. Transfer meatballs to large saute pan with tomato sauce and cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook spaghetti.
  9. Drain and toss with sauce and meatballs in the same pan.
  10. Garnish with basil and parmesan cheese!
