Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In large bowl, cream the butter and sugar and stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In medium bowl mix salt and flour.
  4. Add flour mixture to butter mixture until dough is crumbly, but holds together when pinched.
  5. Take a wanut sized piece of dough in one hand.
  6. With thumb of of other hand gently knead it three of four times.
  7. Roll piece into a ball and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. With kunckle or fingertip, press a well into center and fill with 1/2 tsp of jelly.
  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Cool and store in airtight container.
  11. Makes about 6 dozen
