Ingredients:

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 3/4 to 1 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 pint madeira wine
  • decorative mold...chilled ahead of time

Directions:

  1. Dissolve 2 envelopes of gelatin in cold water.
  2. Ad this to the fruit juice, which has been brought to a boil.
  3. Add sugar to taste and a pinch of salt. Let cool.
  4. Next, add the pint of wine and lemon juice.
  5. Pour into mold that has been chilled.
  6. Set into the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Unmold and serve cold.
  8. Decorate with strawberries that have been rolled in powdered sugar.
