Directions:

  1. Sort and wash beans. Place in a large Dutch oven and cover with water.
  2. Let soak overnight.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 3 hours of until desired degree of tenderness, adding water when necessary.
