Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oil ( olive )
  • 1 egg
  • 5 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • pinch salt
  • topping
  • optional: halved seedles purple grapes
  • optional: drizzles of fruity light olive oil

Directions:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add oil and egg.
  3. Add to dry ingrdients and mix well into a soft kneadble dough
  4. Add raisns and knead well. until smooth and elastic
  5. Allow to to rise once double in bulk.( in a greased bowl, covered in a warm place )
  6. Punch down lightly and press out or roll out to fit a greased jellyroll
  7. Or baking pan.
  8. Press fingers t dough lightly here and there to form a little depression
  9. Drizzle with oil if desired
  10. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  11. Bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes or cooked and golden
  12. Note: halved seedless purple grapes are also a nice sweet topping addition to the recipe
