Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 cup all bran
  • 15 thin slices boiled ham and cheese

Directions:

  1. Beat eggs then add milk and mix well.
  2. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and mustard then add to first mixture.
  3. Stir until flour disappears.
  4. Add melted and cooled shortening then all bran.
  5. Dip slices of ham and cheese in batter and bake on hot griddle turning only once.
