Sugary Pecan Sandie Cookie Mix in a Jar

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar and flour.
  2. Place into a 1 quart canning jar.
  3. Put the chopped pecans on top.
  4. Close the lid and attach a tag with the following instructions: Snow Balls, Makes 4 dozen.
  5. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  6. Grease cookie sheets.
  7. In a medium bowl, cream together 3/4 cup of shortening and 1/4 cup of margarine.
  8. Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla.
  9. Add the entire contents of the jar, and mix well.
  10. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place them on the prepared cookie sheet.
  11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.
  12. Cool, and roll in confectioners' sugar.
