Steve's Chocolate Almond Marble Cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate shavings or 12 oz bittersweet chocolate, shavings
  • 1 (6 oz) package sliced almonds

Directions:

  1. Crust:.
  2. Blend crumbs and sugar. Fold in melted butter.
  3. Grease 10 spring-form pan.
  4. Press crust evenly on bottom and halfway up the sides.
  5. Filling:.
  6. Boil whipping cream. Stir in chocolate and almond extract. Set aside.
  7. Beat cream cheese and sugar.
  8. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  9. After each.
  10. Add sour cream.
  11. Pour 1/4 of the filling into a smaller.
  12. Bowl. To this, stir in the chocolate mixture.
  13. Loosely fold chocolate mixture into remaining filling. Pour filling into crust.

  15. Bake at 350, for 40 mins., then turn oven off.

  17. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate overnight.
  18. Cover with almond slices, then serve.
