Spicy Pepperoni Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients; cut in shorteneing with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  2. Stir in pepperoni.
  3. Add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times.
  5. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut dough 2 or 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter and place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 425 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Yield; 1 dozen
