Spiced Acorn Squash

Ingredients:

  • 4 large acorn squash
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter

Directions:

  1. Wash and cut each squash in half.
  2. With a spoon, scrape out the seeds and fibers.
  3. Mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt and butter.
  4. Spoon the spice mixture into each squash half and add 1 tablespoon orange juice to each.
  5. Place squash on double thickness of foil and place on smoker grid. Smoke for 2 to 3 hours.
  6. Or bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes, depending on size of squash.
