Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, & butter a 9 square baking dish.
  2. Spread half the apple slices in the baking dish.
  3. Combine mincemeat, nuts, dates & chocolate chips, then spread mixture over apples.
  4. Pour cranberry juice over the mincemeat layer, then cover that with the remaining apple slices.
  5. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt & butter, mixing with fingertips until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle over apples in baking dish.
  7. Bake 55-60 minutes, or until apples are tender.
  8. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
