Southern Barbecued Pork on a Bun

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over medium high heat, combine ketchup, chili sauce, mustard, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes and garlic.
  2. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Place roast in a large glass bowl or resealable plastic bag.
  5. Pour sauce over pork and marinate overnight in the refrigerator Remove roast from marinade and place in slow cooker.
  6. Add 3/4 cup water to marinade.
  7. Mix well and add to roast in slow cooker.
  8. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours until meat is tender.
  9. Remove meat from barbecue sauce and let stand 10 to 15 minutes before carving into thin slices.
  10. Place meat on one half of kaiser bun, add additional barbecue sauce and top with the other half bun.
