Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • for lemonade
  • 2 cups simple syrup
  • 4 cups water

Directions:

  1. For Simple Syrup
  2. In medium sauce pan, combine water and sugar and cook over medium low heat until sugar is dissolved and has reduced by about 1/3.
  3. Refrigerate while you juice the lemons :-)
  4. For Lemonade
  5. Juice lemons into large pitcher.
  6. Add 2 cups of the simple syrup.(you will have extra, just put what you don't use in the fridge to use next time)
  7. Add about 4 cups of cold water.
  8. Stir and refrigerate or serve immediately over ice.
  9. Add your special extras just before serving. Mint, berries and peaches are especially good. Also, lemon slices added to the jug just before serving adds a pretty touch.
  10. *a hint to get the taste you like the most, just combine 1T of simple syrup and 1T lemon juice to a small cup and add 2T of water. Taste and adjust as desired before you make up the big pitcher full. ;-)
