Simple Syrup Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 -7 tea bags

Directions:

  1. Heat water to boiling.
  2. For the simple syrup, pour 1 cup of the boiled water into a glass measuring cup, stir in sugar until it dissolves.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Pour remaining water into a tea pot or glass measuring cup with tea bags.
  5. Steep 5 minutes, then remove the bags.
  6. Stir syrup into the tea.
  7. Chill tea.
