Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup butter (no spread) or 3/4 cup margarine ( no spread)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 -3 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp clove

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Stir in eggs,molasses, and vinegar.
  4. Sift and add the flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  5. Mix ingredients til blended.
  6. Form 3/4 balls.
  7. Bake on greased sheet for 15 minutes or until done.
  8. Cookies will get the characteristic crinkle top as they bake.
  9. Let rest for 2 minutes before removing from the sheet.
