Pumpkin Pie With Sour Cream Topping

Ingredients:

  • 1 (16 oz) can pumpkin
  • 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Place rack in lowest position in oven and preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients except pastry shell, mix well. Pour into pastry shell.
  3. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees, bake 35 to 40 minutes longer. Cool.
  4. Sour Cream Topping.
  5. Combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla. After 30 minutes of baking, spread evenly over the top of pie; bake 10 minutes longer.
