Plum Fried Pies

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 piece container refrigerated flaky biscuit dough

Directions:

  1. Add butter to a large sauté pan and melt.
  2. Add plums, sugar, ground cinnamon and lemon juice then cook over medium heat 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and cool.
  4. Roll biscuits out on lightly floured surface so that each biscuit forms a circle.
  5. Place 3 tablespoons of the filling on 1/2 of each circle then brush edges of circle with water.
  6. Fold circle over filling to make a half moon shape then seal by pressing edges with tines of fork.
  7. Heat fryer half filled with oil to 350 then carefully add pies 1 at a time and fry until brown.
  8. Turn pies often for even browning then drain on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
