Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 lbs shrimp
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 1 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 2 1/2 tsp capers and juice
  • 1/8 tsp hot sauce

Directions:

  1. Cook shrimp for 3 to 5 minutes in boiling water with celery tops and salt.
  2. Peel and devein.
  3. Alternate cooked shrimp and sliced onions in shallow baking dish. Add bay leaves.
  4. Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over shrimp.
  5. Cover and store in fridge.
  6. Let marinade 24 hours.
