Ingredients:

  • 1/2 oz anise-flavored liqueur (such as pernod, or other pastis or absinthe)
  • 2 oz pear vodka (recommended grey goose la poire)
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • ice

Directions:

  1. Place an ice cube in a martini glass and add the anise-flavored liqueur.
  2. Swirls to coat the glass let stand to chill for a few minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  4. Add the pear vodka, simple syrup and bitters, stirring vigorously.
  5. Empty the ice and liqueur from the glass.
  6. Strain pear vodka mixture into the coated martini glass.
  7. Garnish with the pear wedge.
