Orange-Glazed Parsnips

Ingredients:

  • 8 -10 medium parsnips
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter or 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Directions:

  1. Wash and peel parsnips.
  2. Cut parsnips into sticks about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Put in slow cooker and cover with water.
  4. Add salt.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 4 hours or until tender.
  6. Meanwhile, in saucepan, melt butter.
  7. Stir in honey, seasoned salt, orange juice, and orange peel.
  8. Heat to boiling.
  9. Drain parsnips and put into a serving dish.
  10. Pour glaze over top and keep warm till ready to serve.
