Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

  1. Combine raisins and 1 tablespoon flour; stir well, and set aside.
  2. Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add pumpkin, milk, molasses, and eggs, beating well.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices; add to creamed mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins.
  4. Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling full. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
