Old Fashioned Tea Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup. shortening
  • 1 cup. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsps. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 4 cup. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs.
  2. Dissolve and add soda and vinegar.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Chill.
  4. Roll out and cut in desired shapes.
  5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 375 deg. until golden brown.
