Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter and shortening with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and chill dough for 3 hours. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to a 1/8-inch thickness; cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Arrange on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 minutes, or until golden.
