Nutty Asparagus Casserole

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven then place drained asparagus in rectangular baking dish.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan then blend in flour.
  3. Gradually stir in half the reserved asparagus liquid.
  4. Bring sauce to a boil stir constantly until thickened then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add cheese, pimientos and remaining asparagus liquid then pour sauce over asparagus.
  6. Mix lightly and carefully then sprinkle with cracker crumbs and almonds.
  7. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
