Mrs. Jewell's Sugar Molasses Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp clove
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups flour

Directions:

  1. 1. Cream Butter and Sugar.
  2. 2. Add eggs and molasses and mix well.
  3. 3. Add remaining ingredients except flour and mix well.
  4. 4. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Dough will be very stiff.
  5. 5. Chill
  6. 6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  7. 7. Roll teaspoon of dough into small ball and place on cookie sheet.
  8. 8. Bake at 350 deg. for 7-9 minutes.
