Mile High Strawberry Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese
  • 1 12oz tub whipped topping
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions:

  1. Prepare cake as directed for a 2-layer cake.
  2. Allow to cool and slice each layer in half to make 4 layers.
  3. Place cake layers in freezer for 1 hour.
  4. In a large bowl,combine cream cheese,sugar,whipped topping and confectioners' sugar. Mix until fluffy.
  5. Place a layer onto a cake plate and spread a thin layer of frosting on top.
  6. Spread 1/3 of the pie filling on top of the frosting. Repeat with remaining layers.
  7. Spread frosting on the top of cake only.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
