Mil Pound Poppy Seed Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup poppy seed

Directions:

  1. Beat Butter until very soft and shiny.
  2. Add sugar; beat for several minutes until light and fluffy and whitish colored.
  3. Beat eggs in small bowl; add extracts to the eggs.
  4. Add egg mixture to butter mixture and beat unfil fluffly.
  5. Alternately add flour and milk; mix until combined.
  6. Stir in poppyseeds.
  7. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 300 degrees for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, or until long toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
  9. Cool 15 minutes.
